Burger She Wrote’s third and largest location is set to open Saturday, October 3, at 11686 San Vicente Blvd. The menu centers on the Oklahoma Smashburger, with Snake River Farms American wagyu patties and King’s Hawaiian buns, alongside Classic and Impossible burgers, fries, and grilled cheese. The space brings skate photography, vintage tiles, and indoor, outdoor, and counter seating to Brentwood.

Gott’s is bringing its roadside classics to the coast. The Santa Monica location opens Friday, October 2, at 401 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 140. Expect burgers, seafood, salads, seasonal specials, and a dedicated soft-serve counter, plus a covered patio and community tables built for groups. This is Gott’s second Southern California restaurant and its first coastal outpost. The announced hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Three siblings raised in Highland Park are giving a former York Boulevard bike shop a new chapter. Zero Fox is a neighborhood café, restaurant, and bar with an indoor-outdoor setup made for settling in. Start with coffee, matcha, or a signature Spanish latte, then make room for chilaquiles or hot honey chicken and waffles. The space shifts from a morning coffee stop to an afternoon hangout, with TVs for catching a game and plenty of reasons to linger over brunch. Evening cocktails and a dinner menu are still on the way, giving this family-owned spot another chapter to look forward to.

A little Halloween planning for your calendar. Chipotle’s margarita revival reaches Hollywood on October 23 and 24 at 7660 W Sunset Blvd. The limited pop-up is part of the brand’s countdown to Boorito and is intended for guests 21 and older. New renderings show a mixed-use plan just east of Brand Boulevard. The proposal at 305 E Colorado St would replace the United Community Church site with connected six-story buildings containing 323 apartments, 9,143 square feet of commercial space, and parking for 474 vehicles. Plans include 33 apartments for very low-income renters. Kevin Tsai Architecture designed the project, which still needs approvals including density-bonus waivers and an alley vacation.

Pasadena is putting its innovation community on the calendar. The City of Pasadena and Innovate Pasadena will host six events October 13 through 16, bringing entrepreneurs, investors, research institutions, and community leaders together for their second consecutive LA Tech Week series. The lineup moves from healthcare AI and a startup pitch competition to a water-and-energy climate discussion and Thursday’s Pasadena Tech Happy Hour. Long Beach’s space-station builder is taking its next big idea to the Moon. Vast has launched a Lunar Programs division focused on power, communications, and habitats that could support NASA’s vision for a permanently crewed lunar base. The company plans to adapt technology from its Haven program, with Haven-1 in final integration and targeting a 2027 launch. Its proposed roadmap starts with solar power and foundational infrastructure, then adds an airlock to test dust control and crew access before moving toward a multi-module habitat for longer stays. A planned satellite network would connect lunar operations with Earth and support navigation around the Moon’s south pole. It is a new chapter for the local space economy, focused on keeping future lunar crews powered, connected, and housed.

Gotham’s most recognizable ride is coming out of the garage. The screen-used Hero Batmobile from Tim Burton’s 1992 Batman Returns is set for Julien’s Auctions on November 23, with bidding in Los Angeles and online.
