Six and a half miles of LA streets are going car-free. CicLAvia’s Heart of LA returns Sunday, October 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., connecting Echo Park, DTLA, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, the Arts District, and Boyle Heights. The free open-streets day welcomes walkers, cyclists, skaters, and people-powered wheelchairs. Four hubs will offer water, basic bike repair, restrooms, first aid, and complimentary pedicab rides.

Cliff Booth is back, with David Fincher behind the camera. Paramount is staying planted in Los Angeles. A settlement with 12 states and Hollywood writers clears a major legal hurdle for its $81 billion Warner Bros. Discovery deal while committing the combined company’s headquarters to LA.
