The Other Art Fair returns to Santa Monica, showcasing 160 artists with mini-golf and Dolly Parton tribute

The Saatchi Art-presented fair runs September 24-27 at Barker Hangar, offering 160 independent creators, on-site parking, and a lineup of interactive installations.

The Other Art Fair is back in Los Angeles for its 16th edition, taking over Barker Hangar at 3021 Airport Ave in Santa Monica from September 24 through 27, 2026. Organized by Saatchi Art, the pop-up gathers more than 160 artists from 14 countries, nearly half of whom are based in L.A., and 63 percent identify as women, according to the fair’s own roster.

Beyond the traditional gallery walls, the event adds a Dolly Parton Day on September 25, a three-hole artist-designed mini-golf course, and a bathroom installation titled TP Catalogs that repurposes British Museum toilet-paper. Visitors can also explore Analog Hour, a four-day screen-free zone, while food trucks, a bar, and a vintage BMW-E30 coffee cart keep the energy lively.

The opening night on Thursday runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., granting the first 500 entrants a complimentary drink and free re-entry for the rest of the weekend, as detailed on the fair’s ticket page. On Friday and Saturday the doors open at 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. respectively, with general admission priced at $20 in advance and $25 on site. A premium Art Lovers Guided Collecting Experience costs $375 and includes drink tokens, a tote bag, and a $200 art purchase credit.

A standout feature is the Dolly Parton tribute exhibition, "Self Made Icon: A Life in Rhinestones," which showcases artist-made tributes priced under $500 and includes a DJ spinning Parton hits, a pink-themed bar serving "The Dolly Partini," and a special toast to the country music icon. The fair also presents The Other Open: Artist-Designed Mini Golf, where Suze Riley, Isabel Araneda, and Heather Bellino each crafted a playable sculpture that turns their artwork into a putt-through experience.

Another unconventional installation, TP Catalogs – On Loan from the British Museum, transforms a hand-painted men’s restroom into a viewing space for gold-framed toilet-paper transfers of museum artifacts, accompanied by a video of a heist. The fair’s Analog Hour invites guests to put away their phones for four days, encouraging them to pick up a putter, a pen, or a fortune cookie and engage with tactile, screen-free activities.

Barker Hangar provides on-site parking for $20 per vehicle from Thursday through Sunday, and rideshare drop-offs are directed to the same address. All attendees must present a QR-coded ticket and a government ID at the welcome desk; 21-plus guests receive wristbands for bar service. Children under 12 enter free with a child ticket, limited to two per order.

Four food trucks line the fair’s perimeter, offering a rotating menu of street fare alongside a full bar that serves cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks. On Saturday and Sunday, mu.sō Espresso Bar serves coffee and matcha from a vintage BMW E30, adding a retro automotive touch to the culinary lineup.
