Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion rolls into downtown Ontario with 1,000+ classic cars

The Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion rolls into downtown Ontario this weekend, turning Euclid Avenue into a living museum of classic automobiles. Over 1,000 vintage cars will line more than 22 blocks of the historic Route 66 corridor on Friday, September 18, and Saturday, September 19.
Beyond the car show, the event offers live music, food, a Route 66-themed Breakfast & Poker Run, and a dedicated kids zone with a Ferris wheel, making it a family-friendly celebration of the Mother Road’s 100th anniversary.
Cars and the Route 66 experience
Visitors can wander at their own pace, snapping photos of hot rods, custom builds and beautifully restored classics that span multiple eras. The sheer number of vehicles creates a vibrant backdrop for anyone interested in photography, Americana or simply a weekend outing.
The displays stretch along Euclid Avenue, a historic boulevard known for its wide, landscaped median and distinctive design. The street is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, adding an extra layer of heritage to the celebration.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Route 66, a highway first established in 1926 that once stretched nearly 2,450 miles from Chicago to Santa Monica. The reunion’s timing gives attendees a chance to honor a century of road-trip culture while enjoying the cars that embody that spirit.
Music, food and family fun
Live music anchors the weekend’s entertainment. On Friday night the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies will take the stage, followed by a Saturday performance from Lou Gramm. Both acts promise high-energy sets that complement the retro atmosphere.
Families have plenty to do beyond the car displays. A dedicated kids zone features a huge Ferris wheel, and a Route 66-themed Breakfast & Poker Run kicks off Friday morning for early birds. The event also hosts a variety of food vendors offering classic American fare and snacks.
