Daybird, the cult Sichuan fried chicken shop, just opened its new home at 7217 Melrose Avenue, trading its Silver Lake origins for a larger, bar-like room with marble counters and gold rooster lamps. The kitchen keeps the crave-worthy hits, spicy tenders and over-the-top fried chicken sandwiches, and adds a fried fish sandwich crowned with caviar tartar sauce.
