Socrates Gourmet Kitchen is slinging chicken tawouk combos, lamb-and-rice plates, and house-made hummus and baba ghanouj out of a counter at 6332 Hollywood Blvd, with a fresh menu refresh that dropped this spring. The kitchen runs until 3am Sunday through Thursday and pushes to 4am on Friday and Saturday, so late shifts and post-show crowds are fully covered. Yelp has it tagged Hot and New with a 5.0 average, and the delivery apps are echoing the same energy.

Folks Pizzeria officially opened its Culver City doors on May 1st, marking the cult-status Costa Mesa favorite's first move outside Orange County into the former Lustig space at 3273 Helms Avenue. Chef-owner Joey Booterbaugh and partner Chloe Tran are slinging their signature fermentation-forward sourdough pies topped with fennel sausage, pancetta and potato, or spring peas, alongside the famous Caesar, a full bar, classic cocktails, and a tight natural-wine list.
