Wally's Opens in Malibu at Cross Creek Ranch With 4,000 Bottles and No Reservations
The Marciano family's fourth Wally's traded the Beverly Hills reservation book for a walk-ins-only counter at Cross Creek Ranch, where a $12 michelada shares a marble table with caviar service that climbs to $1,700.

Wally's Wine & Spirits opened its Malibu outpost at Cross Creek Ranch on Friday, May 22, 2026, following a ribbon cutting at 23465 Civic Center Way. It is the fourth location for a business the Marciano family bought in 2013, when it was still the Westwood wine shop that had been trading since 1968.
The interesting part is not that Wally's came to the beach. It is what Wally's left behind to get here. There is no reservation book. The Malibu location is the only one of the four that Wally's does not list on its reservations page, and its own site says the quiet part plainly: WALK-INS ONLY.
Same Cellar, Fewer Rules
SECTION 01Wally's spent a decade building the opposite of a walk-in restaurant. Beverly Hills arrived in 2014 and went on to win Wine Spectator's Grand Award. Santa Monica followed in 2018, Las Vegas in 2021. Those rooms are destinations you plan around, with a reservation and a table and somebody deciding when you sit.
Malibu keeps the cellar and drops the ceremony. More than 4,000 bottles of wine and spirits line the room, and you can buy one to take home or uncork it where you are standing. The retail counter cuts cheese, truffles and caviar to order. Wally's describes the result as a grab-and-go market built for what it calls Malibu's laid-back coastal lifestyle, which is corporate language for a real decision: the wine got more serious and the room got less serious at the same time.
Cross Creek Ranch is a 70,000 square foot mixed-use development that has been filling in around it, with Kith Malibu and Frankie's Bikinis already trading and Clark's Oyster Bar, Pura Vida Miami and Le Labo among the tenants still to come. Wally's sits in that context as the food-and-drink anchor rather than a special-occasion reservation.

What It Costs, $10 to $1,700
SECTION 02The menu is where the split shows up honestly. Pomme frites are $10. A Donna's Michelada is $12, built with pickle beer, bloody mix, lime and yuzu, and a chamoy rim. The Malibu Spritz, at $14, is Lillet, prosecco, grapefruit and lavender. None of that asks anything of you.
Then the same kitchen will sell you 250 grams of Wally's Reserve Gold caviar for $1,700. Caviar service starts far lower, at $80 for 50 grams of smoked trout roe, and climbs through kaluga hybrid, siberian light, polish osetra and reserve osetra along the way. There are caviar cones at $39, built on a wafer cone with potato condimento, smoked trout roe and siberian light caviar, which is a beach snack pretending to be nothing of the sort.
In the middle sits the food most people will actually order. The Truffle Chicken Sando is $29 on the all-day menu, and the dinner menu runs a slightly different version, the Grilled Truffle Chicken Sandwich, at $27. Wally's Smashed Burger is $24 all day, a six-ounce Blackhawk American wagyu blend with smoked gouda and Wally's steak sauce on a potato bun, and $26 at dinner. Wood-fired pinsa romana runs from a $19 Buffalina to a $29 Black Truffle. The Wally's Classic cheese board is $36 and the 90210, with 5J jamón ibérico de bellota, is $45.
The cheesebox travels too. Boards for five to eight guests start at $86, and the largest, sized for eighteen to twenty-five, runs to $245, priced on the cheesemonger's choice and adjusted from there.
“Wally's Malibu brings a curated grab-and-go market experience to the California coast, featuring exceptional wines, gourmet provisions, and warm hospitality inspired by Malibu's laid-back coastal lifestyle.”
— WALLY'S WINE & SPIRITS, DESCRIBING ITS MALIBU OUTPOST
Go on a weekday before noon, when the counter is quiet and the cheesemonger has time to actually talk to you. Order the caviar cones and the $10 frites together and eat them on the patio like it is nothing. Then buy the bottle instead of ordering the glass. You are already standing in the shop, which is the whole point of this place.
