Hulu's Chad Powers Catfish Food Truck Lands in Venice on Friday, September 4
The free one-day pop-up serves catfish po'boys at Venice Beach from 11 AM to 2 PM, launches Powers #2 jerseys from a soft-shot cannon at The Brig from 5 to 9:30 PM, and sets masked Chad lookalikes loose across Los Angeles as Season 2 arrives on Hulu.
Hulu rolls the Catfish Food Truck into Venice on Friday, September 4: a free, one-day pop-up celebrating the return of Chad Powers for a second season. The truck makes two stops, first at Venice Beach (1 Windward Ave) from 11 AM to 2 PM, then at The Brig (1515 Abbot Kinney Blvd) from 5 to 9:30 PM.
Season 2 premieres Thursday, September 3 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, with all six episodes landing at once. Glen Powell returns as Russ Holliday, the disgraced quarterback hiding in plain sight as walk-on phenom Chad Powers, alongside Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez and Steve Zahn.
Order the Po'Boy or Change the Play
The menu stays in the show's universe: the SG Catfish Po'Boy stacks crispy fried catfish with coleslaw, pickles and hot sauce, while Fries Full of Lies loads up cheese, jalapeno and scallions with ranch on the side. Every order comes with a complimentary Deep & Wide Sweet Tea, and orders are limited to one menu item per guest while supplies last.
Fans can also skip the food entirely and call the Catch of the Day: grab a net, head to the End Zone, and catch exclusive Chad Powers merch launched from a soft-shot cannon, including limited-edition Powers #2 jerseys, while supplies last.
A Sea of Chads
Hulu is also unleashing a Sea of Chads: a coordinated swarm of masked Chad Powers lookalikes popping up throughout the food truck footprint and at other iconic spots around Los Angeles throughout the day.
The whole experience is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. On the field, Chad Powers is a superstar. Off the field, the mustache does a lot of work.
September 4 doubles as the first Friday of the month, and The Brig's lot anchors Abbot Kinney's food-truck nights, so expect the evening stop to have company. Hit Venice Beach early if you want a jersey out of the cannon, bike or rideshare in, and do not be alarmed by masked quarterbacks on the boardwalk. That is the point.
