Broken Spanish Comedor, located at 12565 Washington Boulevard in Los Angeles, has been listed among the best new restaurants in 2026 by Bon Appétit. The list considers several factors such as creative cooking, hospitality, and more.

The restaurant is a new concept from Chef Ray Garcia, who previously operated Broken Spanish before it closed in 2020. The new restaurant opened in 2025 and is a more casual and neighborhood-focused version of the former concept.

The restaurant continues Garcia’s inventive approach to Mexican cooking. Its menu includes refried black lentils with quesillo, hand-pressed tortillas, ceviche, aguachile, enchiladas, barbacoa, and camote with salsa macha butter.
