Congratulations to my Clemson Tigers. Both the men's and women's basketball teams are in the Big Dance this year, both securing #8 seeds. The Lady Tigers will take on our USC Trojans (not the Gamecocks, I don't give them a spotlight) this Saturday in Columbia, South Carolina. The men face #9 Iowa in Tampa on Friday. Go Tigers! 🐅 While making changes for Dark Mode this week, I crashed important components of the site. I was up late last night trying to figure out: late-night Wednesday or Thursday publication? Thursday was the right answer. So there's no newsletter tomorrow. It's not ideal, but this is part of the fun of building in public inside the Human x AI Creative Space, and hopefully giving you a real picture of what it looks like to build with AI from scratch. The Los Angeles Railway is established on March 19, 1895, to provide streetcar service across the city. At its peak, the system operated over 20 routes connecting Downtown LA to neighborhoods across the basin, carrying millions of riders annually. The six-story, H-shaped building will bring 29 apartments with courtyards, a rooftop deck, and balconies just south of Santa Monica Boulevard. Three units will be set aside as affordable housing at the very low-income level. The project recently went before the Beverly Hills Architecture and Design Review Commission for its latest look. |

A massive mixed-use development is taking shape above the Westlake/MacArthur Park Metro Station. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by Walter J. Company in partnership with LA Metro, Centro Westlake plans twin towers at roughly 39 and 55 stories, topping out around 600 feet. The full-block project packs 668 residential units (with income-restricted housing), a 300-room hotel, 100,000+ square feet of office space, medical offices, and 50,000+ square feet of ground-level retail anchored by a central open-air plaza. No construction timeline yet. |
