Oak Tree Inn was a no-frills Encino motor-court motel, the kind of low-key Valley stop you’d pass on Ventura Boulevard without much ceremony. It’s now better understood as The Oaks, a Hope the Mission transitional-age-youth housing site—meant for young adults 18–24 moving out of homelessness, foster care, or other tough chapters, not as a typical traveler’s hotel.
