Drag Icon LADY BUNNY returns to the stage with an all-new show entitled BUNNY BUTCHERS BROADWAY! BUNNY BUTCHERS BROADWAY! is a must-see, laugh-out-loud blend of musical theatre, outrageous comedy, and glamorous costumes. Bunny takes on Broadway classics like WICKED, DREAMGIRLS, GYPSY, CABARET and CHICAGO. Even newer Broadway smashes like THIS IS ME from THE GREATEST SHOWMAN and LET IT GO from Frozen. The Elliott Caine Quintet/Sextet: Inspired by 60s Blue Note style jazz, as well as by the music of Tito Puente and Mongo Santamaria, The Elliott Caine Sextet plays original compositions, as well as the works of Lee Morgan, Hank Mobley, Donald Byrd, et al. The groups critically acclaimed first release, Orientation, has received generous radio airplay across the USA, being the 1 Most Added for jazz, nationally, for the week of 11/5-11/11/99, eventually reaching 29 on national radios Gavin Jazz List in January 2000. Elliotts original compositions from the cd have been used for television and cinema, including Relax...Its Just Sex, starring Jennifer Tilly and Paul Winfield. Le Supercool, the 2nd cd release by the Elliott Caine Sextet, further explores musical ideas initiated with Orientation. Released in early 2001, Le Supercool received impressive notice nationally and internationally, attaining the rank of 14 for jazz radioplay in the USA in early February 2001. The 3rd cd release, Blues from Mars, by the Elliott Caine Quintet, features DJ Bonebrake on vibes on three selections, adding yet another texture to the sound of the group. Kat Edmonson is a Songwriters Hall of Fame award-winning songwriter and singer. She has been featured on Austin City Limits, Tiny Desk Concerts, A Prairie Home Companion, and The Tonight Show and has released six studio albums to date. Raised on the music and film of the early-to mid-twentieth century, Kat performs original songs and familiar classics in her live show interweaving humorous anecdotes and philosophical musings with disarming candor and vulnerability. Hearing Edmonson makes it virtually impossible to do anything but stop and listen. (NPR) Intuitive about melody and handy with a turn of phrase (The New York Times), the songsmith has been writing ever since she was a little girl. JAZZIZ magazine says, her lasting contribution might very well be her songs.
