Role details
Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, the Strategy, Operations & Research team is a nimble group that partners with senior leaders across Match Group and our portfolio businesses on their most important strategic priorities. The team shapes the company's long-term direction by bringing analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and clear operational guidance. We bridge high-level vision and day-to-day execution, ensuring the organization is aligned and moving effectively toward shared goals.
As Strategic Analytics & Reporting Manager, you'll be the connective tissue between data and decision-making for the portfolio - pulling together information across brands and functions (product, marketing, finance, research) into one credible view of how the business is performing. Rather than going deep in a single data domain, you'll range across all of them: today it might be a cross-brand user-overlap analysis, tomorrow a competitive intelligence readout for the Board, and next week a same-day pull to answer the CFO's question. You should be as comfortable writing a SQL query as you are presenting the “so what” to an executive.
Day-to-day work will include a mix of recurring reporting, ad-hoc analyses, and longer-term projects. This role will work across functions (research, product, finance, marketing, etc.) and across Business Units (Tinder, Hinge, E&E).
You will report to the Senior Director, Strategy & Operations and work closely with peers across Strategy, Operations, and Consumer Research - as well as with specialized analytics teams elsewhere at Match Group - translating their outputs, and your own analysis, into portfolio-level insight for corporate leadership. As part of a corporate team supporting a portfolio of brands, you will engage with a wide range of senior stakeholders and adapt seamlessly to different business needs, work styles, and communication preferences.
Know where you belong. Match Group is a leading provider of dating services across the globe. Our portfolio includes Tinder, Match, Hinge, PlentyOfFish, The League, and others, each designed to spark meaningful connections for singles worldwide. Creating a sense of belonging doesn't stop at our platforms - it's the foundation of every team we hire.
When it comes to dating, the connection starts online, but the real magic happens once you meet in real life (IRL). We think the same is true for creating the best platforms, so we work together IRL 3 days/week.
How you’ll make an impact:Executive reporting: Own recurring, cross-brand reporting - consolidating metrics like MAU, revenue, and payer penetration from multiple data sources into a consistent “state of the business” view for corporate and BU leadership.
Competitive intelligence: Lead market-landscape and competitive intelligence reporting (e.g., Sensor Tower), size total addressable market, and flag emerging trends and competitive threats for executive and Board audiences.
Cross-brand analytics: Analyze how users move across Match Group's brands - overlap, migration, and cannibalization - to inform portfolio strategy and resource-allocation decisions.
Ad hoc executive support: Respond to requests from executives and the Board, quickly pulling and synthesizing data across functions into a clear point of view and recommendation.
Continuous improvement: Simplify and automate the team's reporting and dashboarding so more time goes to analysis and less to manual upkeep.
You have 4+ years of professional experience in analytics, business intelligence, FP&A, or a related data-driven field. Product analytics backgrounds are a strong fit, but strong SQL skills and communication matter more to us than a specific pedigree.
You have strong SQL skills (Databricks or Redshift preferred) and are comfortable combining data across multiple, imperfect sources rather than working within one clean system.
You'd rather have broad fluency across marketing, product, finance, and research data than deep specialization in any single one of them.
You are proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) and at least one BI/visualization tool (Quicksight, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent, and you have experience building executive-facing presentations - you can tell the story, not just show the numbers.
You're comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and being pulled into whatever question the business needs answered that week.
You are fluent with AI tools, and always looking for the next one that makes the work faster or sharper.
Bonus: experience with competitive intelligence or market-sizing tools (e.g., Sensor Tower), or prior exposure to cross-brand/multi-product analytics.
Bachelor's degree required; a quantitative or technical concentration is a plus but not required.
*Applicants will be required to complete a SQL skills assessment.
