You will be supporting a growing business, so you’ll need to be enthusiastic about working successfully as an individual contributor and a team player. In this role, your primary focus will be supporting our core product and engineering teams. You’ll be a subject matter expert and influential advisor to senior business and legal leadership alike, and will drive strategy on cutting-edge legal issues in generative AI space, privacy, IP and safety. </p> <p> </p> <p>We’re also looking for someone who embraces AI as a core part of how they work—bringing curiosity, sound judgment, and an experimental mindset to using AI tools to drive efficiency, accelerate problem-solving, and operate with greater speed and impact.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with our strategy, engineering, product management, communications and legal teams to identify and manage legal issues and risks during all stages of product development, and become embedded with those teams to provide pragmatic and strategic advice as the product areas evolve.</li> <li>Advise teams on key emerging areas for our core product, with a particular focus on generative AI, content acquisition, IP/copyright, open source, and privacy issues.</li> <li>Develop and drive implementation of practical measures to mitigate risk, increase speed and efficiency, and advance the long-term goals of Pinterest.</li> <li>Implement scalable legal processes, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and help deliver high-quality guidance to product and engineering teams with greater speed and consistency.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What we’re looking for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>JD with 8+ years relevant work experience in a demanding and innovative legal environment; at least 2 years in-house at a tech company preferred.</li> <li>Experience counseling on issues related to artificial intelligence, IP/copyright, safety, and privacy.</li> <li>Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity with excellent communication skills.</li> <li>Process-driven and results-oriented with proven ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and independently.</li> <li>Strategic thinking, with a track record of delivering creative and pragmatic solutions to novel issues.</li> <li>Strong project management skills, with ability to build sustainable programs and processes for scale and drive strategic, cross-functional initiatives to completion.</li> <li>An AI-forward mindset, with experience using AI as a tool to accelerate analysis, simplify complex problems, and uncover more effective ways to support fast-moving product development. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Relocation Statement:</strong></p> <ul> <li> This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
