Remixing a Guide

Start from a public Guide and make your own version — credit always travels back to the original.

01 — Start from great

What Remix does

Every public Guide on CurationsLA is a starting point, not a locked door. Remix takes a Guide you love and copies it into your own draft — same stops, same order, ready for your edits.

Use it when a Guide is 80% right for you: the perfect date-night loop, but you know a better last stop. The taco crawl, but starting on your side of town. Remix it, tune it, make it yours.

02 — Credit travels

Lineage is permanent

A remixed Guide always shows where it came from. The original Curator gets credit on your published version, and that link does not disappear no matter how much you change.

This is by design. Curators build on each other here — the credit line is how the community says thank you.

The house rule

Remixing is a compliment, not a copy-paste. Republishing a Guide with zero changes and no added perspective is not a remix — it is a duplicate, and duplicates come down.

03 — Make it yours

From remix to your Guide

  1. Swap and reorder. Change stops, reorder the sequence, drop what does not fit your version of the night.
  2. Write your reasons. Your words are what make it yours. Replace the original notes with why each stop belongs in your Guide.
  3. Publish under your name. Your remix publishes to your Curator profile with a credit line back to the original.
