Editorial Policy
Good Vibes is the editorial line — what we cover, and what we leave to the rest of the internet.
Good Vibes is the editorial line
CurationsLA covers the best of Los Angeles: food, events, community, development, business, entertainment, and sports. If it makes this city better, brighter, or more fun to live in, it is on our beat.
Good Vibes is not a slogan here. It is the standard every story, every pick, and every Guide gets held to before it ships.
What we do not cover
No politics. No policymakers. No crime. No violence. No rage bait.
Not because those things do not exist — because there is already an entire internet for them. LA deserves at least one place that leads with what is good. That is the room you are walking into, and it is the room every Curator helps us protect.
The rule since day one
This line has held since the first newsletter went out in January 2023. It is not a phase, and it is not up for A/B testing.
How coverage gets chosen
Curated by humans. AI helps us move faster — Raven and Garrett’s Mom are part of the team — but a person makes every editorial call, and every pick that carries the CurationsLA name was chosen by someone who actually knows this city.
Coverage is never for sale. Sponsors and partners never buy their way into editorial, and when something is paid or partnered, we say so plainly.
Where Curator Guides fit
Guides are community voices, not staff editorial — real recommendations from real Angelenos, published under their own names.
The same line still applies. Guides that break the Good Vibes rule — hate, harassment, spam, or rage bait — come down. New accounts may get a quick human review before their first Guides go live, which keeps the room clean for everyone.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes — a closed kitchen, a moved show, a name spelled sideways. When we do, tell us and we fix it fast. No forms, no runaround.
