Opening Reception: Saturday, September 19, 2026, 6โ€“9 p.m. Exhibition Dates: September 19โ€“November 7, 2026 Museum Hours: Tuesdayโ€“Saturday, 11 a.m.โ€“5 p.m. Torrance Art Museum Presents: Bakerโ€™s Dozen 2026 + BLAM The Torrance Art Museum (TAM) presents two exhibitions this fall highlighting contemporary art practices in Southern California and international artist-run exchange. Bakerโ€™s Dozen 2026 features thirteen artists whose work made a strong impression on TAMโ€™s curators over the past year. The survey reflects diverse and current directions in Southern California contemporary art. Artists: Fritz Chesnut, Chelsea Culprit, Charles Hickey, Michael John Kelly, Paul Art Lee, Renee Pepion, David Schafer, Heidi Schwegler, Alise Spinella, Christian Spruell, Mark Dean Veca, Mark Whalen, and Sining Zhu. BLAM presents work by members of artist-run initiatives from Berlin, Los Angeles, and Mexico City: Die Mรถglichkeit einer Insel, UOOORS, and Venice Institute of Contemporary Art (ViCA). The exhibition is part of BLAM, a three-year international exchange connecting artist-run spaces across these three cities. Following presentations in Berlin in 2024 and Mexico City in 2025, BLAM comes to Los Angeles in 2026. Artists: Fatemeh Burnes, Stephanie Kloss, Michael Lewis Miller, Jaro Straub, Neal Taylor, Marjan Vayghan, and Mei Xian Qi. BLAM will also be presented at participating gallery spaces throughout Los Angeles October 28โ€“November 4.
