The Team:
Pinterest Technical Program Managers are proactive owners with technical expertise. They are aligned to the highest level company priorities to support successful delivery of programs within their teams.
The Platforms TPM organization partners with Agent Foundations, Machine Learning Platform, Core Infra, Security, Ads Agent Infra, Data Product, and Data Science to operationalize Pinterest's Agent Platform — the shared registry, harness, evaluation, observability, AAA, memory, and MCP infrastructure that every AI agent at Pinterest is built on.
What you'll do:
As a Staff Technical Program Manager for Agent Platforms, you will drive the program that takes Pinterest's Agent Platform from MVP to a fully productized, self-serve platform — partnering with engineering, security, and product stakeholders to make it simple, safe, and fast for any team to ship an AI agent.
- Own execution of the Agent Platform roadmap across Agent Foundations, Discovery & Governance, Quality/Trust/Privacy, Token Entitlements, and Adoption & Operations.
- Translate strategic bets (Managed vs. Self-Managed platform design, harness standardization, cost governance) into sequenced execution plans, and be accountable for driving them to completion.
- Execute at both breadth and depth — at breadth by understanding the full platform surface area, and at depth by driving the nitty-gritty details with individual component owners.
- Be a thought partner to engineering leadership on platform architecture and roadmap decisions during quarterly and annual planning.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, Data Science, and Product to turn ambiguous platform gaps (ownership, governance, enforcement) into actionable outcomes.
- Define and institutionalize the operating model for component ownership, on-call, and production-readiness review as the platform scales.
- Build effective, transparent communication channels to report platform status, risk, and adoption metrics to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Own the success of the Agent Platform program, ensuring delivery of measurable outcomes (Platform Adoption, Time-to-Value, Developer NPS) through rigorous planning, execution, and accountability.
- Mentor others and elevate organizational impact by creating and institutionalizing best practices, tools, and methodologies for AI platform program management.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience as a technical program manager, or related experience.
- Track record of leading and delivering complex, multi-year initiatives that span multiple teams.
- Strong understanding of, or demonstrated ability to quickly ramp on, modern AI/agent infrastructure — LLM serving, agent harnesses, evals, observability, and MCP.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with strong leadership to identify and champion new initiatives, thriving in ambiguity and building programs from the ground up.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; ability to mitigate risk through innovative approaches.
- Track record of successfully influencing executive leadership and representing program interests at the highest levels.
- Ability to drive strategic vision by analyzing organizational context, anticipating future scenarios, and shaping program roadmaps aligned with company-level strategy and OKRs.
- Demonstrated experience creating and driving efficient, scalable processes and best practices that enable organizational agility and operational excellence at scale.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to influence, build consensus, and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Foster an inclusive environment by valuing diverse perspectives, maintaining composure in adversity, and modeling courageous, resilient leadership.
- B.S Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
