### HEAT WARNING: LA’s heat warning continues through Thursday evening

**An extreme heat warning remains in effect for the coasts and valleys of Los Angeles and Ventura counties until 8:00pm Thursday, October 8.** The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures of 90 to 100°F along the coast and up to 106°F in the valleys within the warning area. Drink plenty of fluids, spend time in air-conditioned spaces, and check on relatives and neighbors. Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle, even with the windows cracked. Forecasters say the prolonged heat could require an extension, so check the latest local warning before making outdoor plans. NOAA’s September 10 outlook gives a 75% chance of a historically strong El Niño during October through December 2026. Local rainfall impacts remain uncertain, and NOAA’s next outlook is due Thursday, October 8.

## TRIVIA

Excluding benefit and awards-show sets, when did Aerosmith last play a public headline tour concert in Los Angeles County?

Think Inglewood, with Slash sharing the bill.

## TRIVIA ANSWER

July 30, 2014, at the Forum.

Aerosmith’s Let Rock Rule Tour stopped at the Forum in Inglewood, with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators opening. Later local appearances included the February 10, 2019 Janie’s Fund benefit at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, followed by a four-song MusiCares set at the Los Angeles Convention Center on January 24, 2020 and a two-song Grammys performance at Staples Center on January 26. Those benefit and awards-show sets are excluded from this question.

LET’S GO, DODGERS!
