Drawing from the scale of Oasis, the unpredictability of Nirvana, the atmosphere of Radiohead, the grandeur of The Verve, and the melodic instincts of bands like Blink-182 and The Smashing Pumpkins ; Buttercup Strange isn't trying to recreate the past. They're chasing the feeling that music could still be dangerous, cinematic, and bigger than the people making it. No gimmicks. No irony. No safety net.
